If your existing cover is cracked, warped, or no longer seating correctly, this is the direct replacement to restore a proper seal and protect the valve's internal components.

This is a legacy part from Purex Pool Equipment, now under Pentair Pool.

What It Does

The valve cover encloses and protects the internal working components of the Ortega valve body. A damaged or degraded cover compromises the valve's ability to maintain directional flow control and can allow debris ingress. Replacing it with the correct OEM Noryl cover restores the valve to its original operating condition. Match the part number on your existing cover — 072420Z — before ordering.

Specifications

Pentair Part Number

072420Z

Material

Noryl

Color

Gray

Connection Size

1-1/2"

Quantity Included

Each

Pro Tip

Before ordering, check the part number molded or stamped on your existing valve cover and confirm it reads 072420Z. While the valve is open for service, inspect the valve O-rings and rotor assembly for wear and replace them at the same time to avoid a repeat service call.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0920/0687/5411/files/pentair-noryl-valve-cover-1-1-2-gray-ortega-valve-072420z-2.webp?v=1792450808
