FireFighter1 Pool Fire Hose Systems

About FireFighter1 Pool Fire Hose Systems

Your pool is more than just a luxury—it’s your first line of defense.
founded by "Mompreneur" and Shark Tank alumna Bianca Wittenberg, Fight Fire First (FireFighter1) was born from a terrifying realization: during a wildfire, municipal water pressure often fails, leaving homes vulnerable even while thousands of gallons of water sit unused in the backyard pool.

FireFighter1 transforms your existing pool pump into a high-pressure fire hydrant. By installing a simple 3-way diverter valve, homeowners can instantly access their pool water to wet down roofs, fences, and perimeters, creating a critical "defensible space" before evacuating. Designed with industrial-grade materials to withstand the harsh conditions of a fire zone, this system offers the ultimate peace of mind: the ability to protect your property when seconds count.

Why We Trust FireFighter1 Pool Fire Hose Systems
Instant Fire Hydrant: Instantly converts your 20,000+ gallon pool into a high-pressure firefighting reserve.

Shark Tank Approved: Recognized on national TV (Mark Cuban & Lori Greiner) for its innovative approach to property safety.

Universal Compatibility: Works with most standard pool pumps (1.5 HP+) and requires no external gas or electricity.

Built for Durability: Features US-made, heat-resistant polypropylene fittings and forestry-grade fire hoses.

Your Pool is Your Best Firefighter

Did you know your swimming pool holds over 20,000 gallons of firefighting power? In a wildfire emergency, municipal water pressure often fails, leaving your garden hose useless. However, your pool remains full—an untapped reservoir that can create a critical "defensible space" around your home. Read More

How It Works:
The Emergency Fire Defense category includes specialized fire hose kits and diverter valves that attach directly to your existing pool pump.

  1. Divert: A 3-way valve switches your pump’s flow from the pool returns to the fire hose.
  2. Deploy: High-grade forestry hoses allow you to wet down your roof, fence, and perimeter.
  3. Defend: You saturate the property before you evacuate, preventing embers from igniting your home.

This system transforms your pool from a luxury into a life-saving asset, capable of spraying water up to 40+ feet without electricity or gas (if using a variable speed pump).

Common Questions +

Q: Do I need a separate pump for this system?
A: No. Most systems are designed to work with your existing pool pump (1.5 HP or higher recommended). However, if power fails in your area during fires, you may need a backup generator or a gas-powered portable pump.

Q: Will this drain my pool completely?
A: Eventually, yes, but it provides hours of water. A standard fire hose sprays ~80-100 gallons per minute. A 20,000-gallon pool gives you over 3 hours of continuous spray time—plenty of time to wet down your property.

Q: Can I stay and fight the fire myself?
A: No. These tools are designed for preparation, not active combat. Use the system to wet your property and create a wet perimeter, then evacuate immediately according to local authorities.

Q: Does it connect to the skimmer or main drain?
A: For best results, you should switch your suction to the Main Drain. If you pull from the skimmer, the water level will drop quickly, causing the pump to suck air and lose pressure.

Q: Is installation difficult?
A: It requires basic plumbing skills. You will need to install a 3-way diverter valve into your return line (the pipe sending water back to the pool). If you are uncomfortable cutting PVC pipe, we recommend hiring a pool professional.
