The Anawalt family acquired A&B Brush in the mid-1960s and made a strategic decision that would define the company's future: expand from fireplace brushes into pool brushes, creating year-round demand and building deep expertise in a growing market.
That bet paid off. Over three generations, A&B has refined its manufacturing process to a level that competitors can't match. Our proprietary hybrid bristle design — combining stainless steel and synthetic filaments in a precision staple-set process — has become known as the gold standard in the swimming pool brush industry.
Today, under the leadership of DJ Anawalt, A&B manufactures from a 40,000 sq ft facility in Duarte, California, with shipping locations in both California and Florida. Every brush we sell is made right here in the USA.
