Water Balance

For best product performance, swimmer comfort, and crystal clear water: Maintain pH in the range of 7.2 to 7.6. Maintain total alkalinity in the range of 60 to 120 parts per million (ppm). Maintain calcium hardness above 200 ppm. Use a reliable test kit that measures all these ranges. Use GLB™ pool care products to make adjustments. Follow label directions for each product.

This product is a concentrated dry chlorine agent which helps restore sparkling, clear pool water by reducing organic wastes from such contaminates as suntan lotions, hair spray, cosmetics, urine, perspiration and mucous discharge. Use only as directed.

1. Use this product at the rate of 1 pound per 10,000 gallons of swimming pool water. Add total required amount at one time. Scatter this granular product directly over the pool water surface. Use this product only when pool is not in use. It will produce a temporary high chlorine level. Re-entry into treated pools is prohibited above levels of 4 ppm due to risk of bodily harm.
2. Between applications of this product, maintain required 1.0–1.5 ppm chlorine residual in pool water.

Never mix this product with any other chemical. Do not use in feeder, floater or skimmer. Always mix only in pool water by scattering product over pool surface.

Winterizing

While water is still clear and clean, apply 0.8 oz. of this product per 1,000 gallons, while filter pump is running, to obtain a 4 ppm available chlorine residual, as determined by a suitable test kit. Cover pool, prepare heater, filter and heater components for winter by following manufacturers' instructions.

Storage & Disposal

Keep this product dry in its tightly closed container. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat or open flame. Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Rinse empty container thoroughly with water to dissolve all material prior to disposal. Offer for recycling if available. Emergency Handling

In case of contamination or decomposition — Do not reseal container. Immediately remove container to an open and well-ventilated outdoor area by itself. Flood with large amounts of water. Dispose of the container and any remaining contaminated material in an approved landfill area.

Danger: Corrosive. Causes irreversible eye damage and skin burns. May be fatal if swallowed. Irritating to nose and throat. Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing. Do not handle with bare hands. Wear safety goggles or face shield, and rubber gloves when handling this product. For additional skin protection, wear long sleeves and long pants. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet. Open in a well-ventilated area. Do not breathe dust or fumes. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
