The Hayward 1-1/2" MIP x 1-1/4" Hose Adapter (SPX1091Z1) is the OEM replacement hose adapter fitting for Hayward pool equipment.

This adapter provides a transition between a 1-1/2" male iron pipe (MIP) threaded connection and a 1-1/4" hose end, allowing a standard pool hose to be connected to threaded Hayward equipment ports. The threaded end screws directly into the equipment; the hose end accepts a pool hose secured with hose clamps (sold separately).

Note: Hose clamps are required to secure the hose to the barbed end of this adapter and are not included.

Poolaroo Pro Tip

Before threading the MIP end into your equipment, wrap the threads with PTFE (Teflon) tape to ensure a watertight seal and prevent galling. Hand-tighten first, then use a strap wrench — avoid over-tightening, which can crack plastic equipment ports.
