The Hayward 1/4 In Adapter Fitting (CLX220P) is the OEM replacement adapter fitting for Hayward's off-line automatic chlorine and bromine feeder series, including both standard and above-ground configurations.
This fitting connects the feeder's inlet or outlet tubing to the pool plumbing, maintaining the controlled chemical feed path between the feeder body and the return line. Replacing a cracked, stripped, or leaking adapter restores a secure, chemical-resistant connection and prevents uncontrolled chlorine or bromine bypass.

When replacing this fitting, inspect the barbed tubing and compression nut at each end of the feeder hose assembly for signs of chemical degradation or stress cracking — these components are exposed to high-concentration chlorine or bromine and often warrant simultaneous replacement. Hand-tighten only; over-torquing the adapter can crack the feeder body port.
