The Hayward Skim-Vac (SP1094D) is the OEM replacement vacuum plate designed for Hayward pool skimmers.

The SP1094D seats directly over the skimmer basket, routing suction from the pool pump through the skimmer rather than the pump strainer. This lets you start and stop vacuuming without cycling the pump on and off — debris is captured in the skimmer basket, keeping the pump strainer clear during the vacuuming session.

Before vacuuming, confirm the Skim-Vac plate seats flat and flush against the top of the skimmer basket with no gap around the perimeter — an unseated plate allows air to bypass the seal, breaking suction mid-session.
