IMPORTANT: POOL LIGHTING SAFETY REQUIREMENT
Pool lighting components operate in wet environments. Installation must comply with NEC Article 680 and be performed by a licensed electrician.
The retainer clamp assembly locks the AstroLite light housing securely into position within the pool wall niche. A failed or degraded clamp can allow the light to shift or become unseated, compromising both the fixture's seal and its safe retention in the niche.

When reseating the light assembly after replacing the retainer clamp, inspect the lens gasket for compression set or cracking before reassembly. A worn gasket and a new clamp installed together eliminates the risk of a return service call for a weeping niche — and both parts are inexpensive relative to the labour involved. All pool lighting work must be performed by a licensed electrician in compliance with NEC Article 680.
