When replacing the air relief tube, inspect the manual air relief valve assembly and its O-ring at the same time. If the O-ring is worn or flattened, it is a common source of air leaks that can mimic a faulty tube. Always shut off the pump and relieve filter pressure before disassembling any part of the filter tank.
