What It Does

Before ordering, lay your old element on the ground and measure its length and outer diameter — then compare to the 19 3/4" × 7" spec above. Minor wear can compress an aged cartridge, so always measure from end cap to end cap on the original. When it's time to clean, rinse the pleats with a garden hose from the inside out; avoid pressure washers, which damage the fabric. For oils and sunscreen buildup, an overnight soak in a dedicated filter cleaning solution will restore flow far more effectively than rinsing alone. Replace your element when the filter pressure remains high within 1–2 days of cleaning — that's the reliable signal that the fabric is spent.
