What It Does
The CX900RE sits inside the StarClear Plus C900 filter tank and is the working heart of the filtration system — capturing dirt, debris, and fine particulates from your pool water as it passes through the pleated filter media. Replacing this element on schedule restores your filter to full OEM flow rate and debris-capture performance.

Before ordering, measure your existing element — length and outer diameter are the two numbers that matter most for fit. The CX900RE measures 17 3/8" long with an 8 15/16" outer diameter; if your old cartridge differs from those figures, double-check the part number molded into your element's end cap. When it's time to clean, rinse the pleats with a garden hose working top-to-bottom — never use a pressure washer, which can permanently damage the filter media. For embedded sunscreen and body oils, a dedicated filter cartridge soak cleaner will restore flow and extend the life of the element significantly longer than rinsing alone.
