Before installing the new elements, measure one against your old cartridges — confirm the 19 5/8" length and 7" outer diameter match what came out of the filter. When cleaning between replacement cycles, rinse pleats with a garden hose working top to bottom; avoid pressure washers, which can damage the media and reduce filtration efficiency. For filters with heavy bather load or significant sunscreen and body oil contamination, an overnight soak in a dedicated filter cleaning solution will restore flow and extend the service life of each element. Always replace all four cartridges as a matched set to keep flow balanced across the filter.
