The Hayward Flex Air Relief Assembly (DEX2400CR) is the OEM replacement air relief assembly for the Hayward ProGrid DE Filter series, including the 36, 48, and 60 square foot models.
This assembly provides the manual air release function at the top of the ProGrid filter tank, allowing trapped air to be purged from the filter vessel during start-up and routine operation. Releasing air from the filter maintains proper water flow through the media and prevents air lock conditions that reduce filtration efficiency.

When replacing the air relief assembly, inspect the small O-ring or seal at the base of the assembly before reinstalling. A compromised seal at this fitting is a common source of minor drips at the top of the filter tank. Replace it at the same time to avoid a return service call.
