The Hayward Stainless Steel Gear Box Assembly (AXV408P) is the OEM replacement gear box for Hayward Navigator Pro and PoolVac XL automatic suction pool cleaners.
The gear box assembly transmits drive motion within the cleaner's headbox, governing the directional movement that keeps the cleaner sweeping the pool floor and walls. When the gear box wears or fails, the cleaner loses its programmed random-pattern movement and may stall or travel in a fixed path. Replacing this assembly restores proper drive function without replacing the entire headbox unit. The 304 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance suited to continuous immersion in treated pool water.
