About This Item
The Hayward Housing O-Ring (SPX0710XZ5) is the OEM replacement housing seal for Hayward VariFlo valve assemblies and PowerFlo Matrix pump models.
IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. Browse our Pool Plumbing Lubricants for a compatible silicone lubricant.
This O-ring seats at the housing junction of the valve or pump body, maintaining a watertight seal to prevent leaks at the housing interface. Replacing a worn or cracked housing O-ring restores a proper pressure seal without replacing the full valve assembly or pump housing.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
Before seating this O-ring, clean the housing groove thoroughly to remove any debris or remnants of the old seal — even small particles can prevent a complete seal and cause the same leak to return. Apply a silicone-based lubricant from our Pool Plumbing Lubricants collection to the O-ring before installation. Never use petroleum-based lubricants, which degrade rubber O-rings and void the seal over time.
