The Hayward Seal Plate (SPX2300E) is the OEM replacement seal plate for MaxFlo XL, MaxFlo XE Ultra-High Efficiency, and MaxFlo VS pump models.
The seal plate forms the critical interface between the pump's wet end and motor assembly, providing the structural mounting point for the shaft seal and maintaining the pressure boundary that keeps water contained within the pump volute. Replacing a worn or cracked seal plate restores the integrity of this interface and supports correct shaft seal seating.

Whenever the seal plate is removed for service, inspect the shaft seal for wear, scoring, or hardening before reassembly. Replacing the shaft seal at the same time as the seal plate avoids a second disassembly if the seal fails shortly after — both parts share the same service interval on MaxFlo pumps.
