The Hayward Union Connection Kit (SPX3200UNKIT) is the OEM replacement union assembly — including the nut, connector, and gasket for two unions — for TriStar variable-speed pumps and SwimClear cartridge filters.
This three-piece kit (for two unions) provides the complete union connection hardware needed to service the plumbing interface on compatible TriStar and SwimClear equipment. The nut, connector, and gasket work together to form a watertight, serviceable union joint that allows the pump or filter to be disconnected from the plumbing without cutting pipe.

When replacing this union kit, inspect the gasket seat on both the equipment and the mating union half for wear, cracking, or mineral scale before reassembling. A clean, undamaged seating surface is essential for a leak-free joint. Hand-tighten the union nut until snug, then apply only moderate additional force — overtightening can distort the gasket and cause weeping leaks at start-up.
