What It Does
The Skim-Vac II seats over the skimmer basket and connects directly to the vacuum hose, routing suction through the skimmer rather than the pump strainer basket. This allows continuous vacuuming without shutting down the pump to swap the vacuum hose at the pump pot — keeping your filtration cycle uninterrupted while you clean the pool floor and walls.

Before attaching the vacuum hose, lower the Skim-Vac II plate gently into the skimmer basket well and confirm it seats flat against the basket rim — a poor seal reduces suction at the vacuum head. If your skimmer has a flow-control valve or equalizer line, close it off first to direct full pump suction to the vacuum hose for maximum pickup power.
