About This Item

The Hayward Skim-Vac with Combo Adapter (SP11054) is the OEM replacement vacuum plate for Hayward above-ground pool skimmers, designed to let you vacuum through the skimmer basket without stopping the pump.

What It Does

The Skim-Vac plate seats over the skimmer basket and accepts the vacuum hose connection, routing suction directly through the skimmer rather than the pump strainer basket. The built-in combo adapter accommodates both 1-1/4-inch and 1-1/2-inch vacuum hoses, eliminating the need to shut down the pump between connecting and disconnecting the vacuum hose.

Poolaroo Pro Tip

Before attaching the vacuum hose, ensure the skimmer basket is seated correctly — a dislodged basket allows debris to bypass the basket and travel toward the pump. After vacuuming, remove the Skim-Vac plate to restore normal skimmer operation and surface skimming.
