The Hayward Handle (SPX1082N2) is the OEM replacement handle for the Hayward Auto-Skim skimmer line, covering SP1082, SP1084, and SP1085 series skimmers for both concrete and vinyl/fiberglass pool installations.
This handle provides the means to lift and remove the skimmer lid for routine basket access and servicing. Replacing a cracked, broken, or missing handle restores convenient lid operation without requiring full skimmer disassembly.

When replacing the skimmer lid handle, take the opportunity to inspect the lid itself for UV-related brittleness or warping. A handle that has snapped off often signals the lid has also degraded — checking both components at the same time avoids a repeat service call at the same skimmer.
