The Hayward Weir Assembly Kit (SPX1070KHR) is the OEM replacement weir assembly for Hayward SkimMaster round and square skimmers in the SP1070 and SP1072 series.
The weir door regulates water flow into the skimmer throat, floating at the surface to allow debris to pass through while preventing it from washing back into the pool when the pump cycles off. Replacing a cracked, warped, or missing weir restores proper skimming action and surface debris collection.

Before ordering, confirm your skimmer's throat size matches the 4.5″ throat specification shared by all compatible models above. The weir door pivot tabs can fatigue and snap over time — if yours is sticking or not floating freely rather than broken, clean the pivot slots thoroughly before replacing the assembly. Inspect the weir at the start of each season; a properly floating weir dramatically improves surface skimming efficiency and reduces pump basket loading.
