The Hayward Replacement Weir (SPX1071K) is the OEM replacement weir door for the SP1070 and SP1071 Series SkimMaster round and square skimmers.
The weir is the hinged flap at the skimmer throat that regulates water flow into the skimmer body. It swings inward with surface flow to allow debris to pass through, then falls back into position to trap collected material and prevent it from returning to the pool when the pump cycles off.

A worn or warped weir that no longer swings freely — or fails to seat properly after the pump shuts off — allows debris to drift back into the pool. Before replacing the weir, confirm your skimmer model number (molded into the skimmer body) matches one of the compatible models listed above. The SP1070 and SP1072 series share this weir, but throat geometry differs across skimmer families, so a physical model number check is the fastest way to confirm fit.
