About This Item
The Hayward Spring (SPX0603S) is the OEM replacement spring for Hayward VariFlo and SelectaFlo multiport filter valves, maintaining proper rotor tension and ensuring positive position engagement across all valve settings.
This spring holds the rotor assembly under the correct load so the valve locks firmly into each operating position — Backwash, Filter, Rinse, Waste, Recirculate, and Closed — preventing intermediate positioning and the flow leakage that results from a worn or broken spring.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
If your multiport valve handle is difficult to rotate, no longer clicks firmly into position, or drifts out of a selected setting under pressure, a fatigued or broken spring is the likely cause. When servicing the valve, inspect the rotor O-ring at the same time — replacing both together restores full valve function and avoids a second disassembly shortly after.
