The Hayward Star-Clear Plus Filter Head with Directional Vent (CX1750B) is the OEM replacement filter head for Hayward StarClear Plus cartridge filters, restoring the top assembly that houses the air relief valve and directional vent on 120 and 175 square foot models.
This filter head caps the tank body and integrates the directional vent for controlled air release during startup and pressure management. Replacing a cracked, stripped, or leaking filter head returns the filter to full operating condition without replacing the entire tank assembly.

Before installing the new filter head, inspect the tank body's mating surface and the O-ring seal at the head-to-tank interface for wear or deformation.
