About This Item
The Hayward Seal Assembly Kit (SPX1600TRA) is the OEM replacement seal kit for Hayward Super Pump High Efficiency pump models.
IMPORTANT: KIT CONTENTS — MULTIPLE COMPONENTS INCLUDED
This is a complete seal assembly kit. It includes the diffuser gasket, lid gasket, housing gasket, and the two-piece shaft seal assembly — everything needed to perform a full seal service in a single order.
The SPX1600TRA restores the internal sealing integrity of the pump by replacing the shaft seal and all associated gaskets as a matched set. Replacing these components together ensures consistent sealing performance across the pump's wetted interfaces and helps prevent leaks at the shaft, housing, lid, and diffuser.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
When performing a seal service, inspect the seal seat and the pump shaft for scoring or corrosion before installing this kit. A damaged shaft or seat will cause the new shaft seal to fail prematurely regardless of seal quality. Replacing all gaskets and the shaft seal together — rather than individual components — eliminates the guesswork of chasing intermittent leaks one part at a time.
