Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. Browse our Pool Plumbing Lubricants for a compatible silicone lubricant.
This O-ring seats inside the T-Cell union fitting to form a watertight seal between the salt cell and the plumbing line. A worn or cracked union O-ring is a common cause of leaks at the cell connection point. Replacing it restores a leak-free seal without replacing the full union assembly.

Keep several of these O-rings on hand — they are inexpensive and the most common service item when re-seating or inspecting a T-Cell. Before reinstalling, lightly coat each O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant from our Pool Plumbing Lubricants collection to ease seating and extend O-ring life. Never use petroleum-based lubricants, which will degrade the rubber.
