About This Item
The Hayward Vari-Flo XL Control Valve (SP071620T) is the OEM replacement 2" top-mount multiport valve for Hayward ProSeries top-mount sand filters. It is supplied complete with the mounting clamp needed to attach the valve to the filter tank.
This multiport valve directs flow through your filter's six standard operating positions — Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Recirculate, and Closed — using a top-mounted spider gasket and handle assembly designed specifically for Hayward's 2" port ProSeries sand filter tanks.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
Before reinstalling this valve, inspect the spider gasket beneath the handle assembly — a worn or torn gasket is one of the most common causes of cross-flow between filter and backwash positions, even when the valve body and clamp are in good condition.
