About This Item
The Hayward Vari-Flo Valve Assembly (SP0710XR50) is the OEM replacement six-position control valve, 1-1/2" NPT, reverse configuration, for Hayward ProGrid DE filter systems.
This valve directs water flow through the filter's Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Recirculate, and Closed positions, allowing the filter to be cleaned and serviced without disturbing the system's plumbing connections. A built-in manual air relief valve provides quick-turn air bleed-off during startup and after service.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
Confirm that your filter requires the reverse-configuration valve before ordering — Hayward also offers a standard (non-reverse) Vari-Flo valve assembly that is not interchangeable with this part. Matching the correct configuration to your filter ensures the handle and position indicator align correctly with your plumbing layout.
