The A-frame and turbine work together as the core drive mechanism of Hayward's suction-side automatic cleaners. The turbine converts water flow into mechanical motion, while the A-frame transmits that motion to drive the cleaner's movement across the pool floor and walls. Replacing this kit restores full drive function to cleaners experiencing reduced or erratic movement. This kit is also compatible as a V-Flex upgrade on most existing PoolVac and Navigator models, allowing older cleaners to be updated to current drive specifications.
