The Hayward Cartridge Element (CCX1000RE) is the OEM replacement filter cartridge element for the XStream Cartridge Filter — delivering 100 sq ft of filtration area in a single element designed specifically for Hayward XStream 100 and XStream 150 filter systems.
What It Does
The CCX1000RE seats directly inside the XStream filter tank and captures fine particulate from pool water as it passes through the pleated filter media. Replacing this element at the end of its service life restores the filter to its original flow rate, pressure performance, and water-clarity ratings. One element services the full filter — no additional elements required for this model.

Before ordering, hold a tape measure against your existing element and confirm it matches the dimensions above — 17 3/8" long with an 8 15/16" outer diameter. When it's time to clean, rinse the pleats with a garden hose (never a pressure washer — high pressure damages the media) working top to bottom between each pleat fold. For stubborn sunscreen or body-oil buildup, soak the element overnight in a cartridge filter cleaner solution before the final rinse. Keeping a spare CCX1000RE on hand means zero downtime when your cleaning cycle comes around.
