Hayward Cartridge Element for StarClear C100 Filter | CX1000RE

The Hayward Cartridge Element (CX1000RE) is the OEM replacement filter cartridge for the StarClear C100 cartridge filter.

What It Does

The CX1000RE element sits inside the StarClear C100 filter tank and captures dirt, debris, and fine particulates as pool water passes through its pleated fabric surface. When the element becomes loaded with contaminants, flow rate drops and the element is removed, rinsed or soaked clean, and reinstalled — no backwashing required. Replacing the element with a genuine Hayward CX1000RE restores the filter to its original flow and filtration performance.

When it's time to clean, rinse the pleats with a garden hose working top-to-bottom (never a pressure washer, which can damage the media). For deeper cleaning after heavy bather loads or algae events, soak the element overnight in a dedicated filter cartridge cleaner to dissolve embedded oils and sunscreen before rinsing and reinstalling.
