What It Does
The CX1200RE sits inside the StarClear Plus filter tank and captures dirt, debris, and fine particulates as pool water passes through the pleated filter media. Replacing a worn or clogged element restores the filter's designed flow rate and water clarity without replacing the entire filter housing.

Before ordering, measure your existing element — length and outer diameter — against the specifications above. The CX1200RE's 23 1/4" length and 8 15/16" outer diameter are your confirmation points. When it's time to clean, rinse the pleats with a garden hose working top-to-bottom; avoid pressure washing, which collapses the pleat structure and shortens element life. For oils and sunscreen buildup that a rinse won't shift, soak overnight in a dedicated filter cleaning solution before reinstalling.
