About This Item
The Hayward O-Ring Kit (DEX2420Z8A) is the OEM replacement two-piece O-ring set for Hayward SwimClear Multi-Element Cartridge Filters and ProGrid DE Filters. This kit supplies both O-rings required to restore a proper pressure seal at the filter tank.
IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate these O-rings with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. Browse our Pool Plumbing Lubricants for a compatible silicone lubricant.
This two-piece kit provides the sealing O-rings that maintain a watertight closure on the filter tank assembly. Replacing worn, cracked, or distorted O-rings eliminates leaks at the filter head and restores operating pressure integrity.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
Before seating these O-rings, clean the groove channels of any debris, dried lubricant, or old rubber residue. Apply a thin, even coat of silicone-based lubricant — never petroleum-based grease, which degrades rubber — to the O-rings prior to installation. Find a compatible lubricant in our Pool Plumbing Lubricants collection. Inspect and replace these O-rings at each seasonal opening as a low-cost step that prevents leaks and pressure loss throughout the swim season.
