When replacing the filter element cluster, take the opportunity to inspect the manifold, air bleeder assembly, and all internal O-rings for wear or cracking. Replacing worn ancillary components at the same time prevents a repeat filter teardown shortly after reassembly. After reinstalling, perform a full backwash cycle and re-charge with fresh diatomaceous earth before returning the filter to service.
