The Hayward Filter Head with Clamp System (DEX4820BTC) is the OEM replacement top head assembly for Hayward SwimClear Multi-Element Cartridge Filters and ProGrid DE Filters. This complete assembly includes the integrated clamp system that secures the filter head to the tank body, maintaining a pressure-tight seal during operation.

The filter head forms the upper pressure boundary of the filter tank, housing the air relief assembly port, pressure gauge port, and the plumbing connections that direct water flow through the filter media. A worn or flat O-ring is the most common cause of leaks at this joint — replace it at the same time to avoid pulling the filter apart a second time.
