The Hayward Vent Pressure Switch Kit (FDXLVPS1930) is the OEM replacement vent pressure switch for Hayward pool heaters.

Gas and electrical heater components must be serviced by a licensed pool professional or qualified HVAC technician. Do not attempt to service gas or high-voltage components without proper certification.
The vent pressure switch monitors combustion air and flue gas flow through the heat exchanger vent system. When adequate airflow is confirmed, the switch signals the control board to allow the burner to fire. A faulty or failed switch will prevent the heater from igniting, making this a common service part when the heater locks out despite normal gas supply and water flow.

Before replacing the switch, inspect the vent flue and combustion air intake for blockages — a partially obstructed vent can cause a healthy switch to trip under load. If the heater resumes igniting after clearing any obstruction, the original switch may still be serviceable. When the switch itself has failed (open circuit at rest, or closed circuit regardless of airflow), replace it with this OEM unit to restore the manufacturer's original pressure calibration. All diagnosis and replacement must be performed by a licensed pool professional or qualified HVAC technician.
