This flow switch installs in a 2-inch pipe tee fitting and signals the salt chlorine generator or automation controller that water is flowing through the system before chlorine production begins. When flow drops below the activation threshold, the switch interrupts generator operation, protecting the system from running dry.

After installing the GLX-FLO, confirm the switch paddle moves freely within the tee and is oriented perpendicular to flow direction. A misaligned or restricted paddle is the most common cause of nuisance "no flow" faults on Hayward salt chlorine generators — even when water is circulating normally. Always shut down the system and turn off the chlorine generator before disconnecting or reconnecting the flow switch cable.
