About This Item
The Hayward O-Ring & Backup Ring Kit (SPX0735GA) is the OEM replacement sealing kit for Hayward VariFlo multiport valves, restoring a leak-free seal at the valve's internal rotor assembly.
IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. Browse our Pool Plumbing Lubricants for a compatible silicone lubricant.
This kit provides the O-ring and backup ring that seal the rotor shaft inside VariFlo multiport valves. Worn or compressed seals are a common cause of valve bypass and water leaking around the valve stem. Replacing both rings together restores proper sealing performance and prevents cross-contamination between valve positions.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
When installing this kit, clean the rotor shaft groove thoroughly before seating the new rings — any grit or old lubricant residue can cause the replacement O-ring to seat unevenly, leading to a premature leak. Always apply a fresh coat of silicone-based lubricant to both rings before reassembly; never use petroleum-based grease, which degrades rubber seals. Find a compatible lubricant in our Pool Plumbing Lubricants collection.
