The Hayward Gray Square Deck Plate Cover (SPX1082EGR) is the OEM replacement square lid cover for Hayward Auto-Skim skimmers designed for concrete and vinyl/fiberglass pool installations. This is the gray color version — confirm the color of your existing deck plate before ordering.

This deck plate cover is gray. Hayward Auto-Skim skimmers are available in white and dark gray finishes. Verify the color of your installed skimmer's existing lid before ordering to ensure a matched replacement.
The square deck plate cover sits flush at deck level over the skimmer body, providing access to the skimmer basket and weir while protecting the skimmer interior from debris ingress. Replacing a cracked, faded, or damaged cover restores a clean deck appearance and maintains proper skimmer function.

The SP1082 family spans both concrete and vinyl/fiberglass pool applications, and skimmer lids can be either square or round depending on the specific model installed. Before ordering this square gray cover, check the shape of your current lid and locate your skimmer's model number — typically molded into the underside of the skimmer body — to confirm this is the correct replacement. A UV-degraded or cracked deck plate that still seals adequately can often be swapped out as straightforward seasonal maintenance without draining the pool.
