The Hayward Cover Screw (SPX1082Z1) is the OEM replacement cover screw for Hayward Auto-Skim skimmers, securing the skimmer lid cover to the skimmer body on both concrete and vinyl/fiberglass pool installations.

When replacing the cover screw, inspect the screw boss on the skimmer lid and housing for cracking or stripping at the same time. A damaged boss will not hold the new screw securely regardless of fastener condition. Hand-tighten only — over-torquing plastic skimmer components is a common cause of housing damage.
