The Hayward Drain Plug and Gasket (SPX4000FG) is the OEM replacement drain plug and sealing gasket for Hayward's Super Pump, MaxFlo, and TriStar pump families, including variable-speed and ultra-high-efficiency models.
This plug seals the drain port on the pump volute, allowing the pump housing to be drained for winterization, servicing, or equipment removal. The included gasket provides a watertight seal to prevent leakage at the drain port when the plug is installed.

Compatibility is based on Hayward parts documentation and available OEM records. This is not an exhaustive list. For certainty, verify the part number in your equipment's manual or on the original part itself before ordering.
Replace this plug and gasket together at the start of every season — the gasket is the component most likely to harden and crack after a winter drain, and a failed gasket will cause a slow leak at the pump body drain port that can be easy to miss. Inspect the plug's threads for cracking or cross-threading before reinstalling, and hand-tighten only; over-torquing can crack the volute.
