The Hayward Flo-Control Trimmer Plate with Screw (SPX1070FA) is the OEM replacement flow-control assembly for Hayward SkimMaster round and square skimmers.
IMPORTANT: KIT INCLUDES SCREW
This part is supplied as a kit — the trimmer plate and its mounting screw are included together. No additional fastener hardware is required for this replacement.
The Flo-Control trimmer plate regulates water flow through the skimmer's suction port, allowing the flow balance between the skimmer and the main drain to be adjusted at the skimmer body. Replacing a worn or broken trimmer plate restores proper flow control and maintains efficient surface skimming performance.

Before removing the old trimmer plate, note its orientation inside the skimmer body. The plate must seat correctly against the suction port opening to regulate flow as designed. Confirm the replacement plate and screw are fully secured before restoring pump operation — a loose plate can shift under suction and disrupt flow balance.
