IPS Corporation is the company that made modern plastic plumbing possible. Founded in 1954 and headquartered in Compton, California, IPS pioneered the solvent welding technique and patented the first solvent cement for joining PVC pipe under its famous Weld-On brand. That innovation revolutionized plumbing in America — and it's still the way pool and spa plumbing gets glued together today. Weld-On solvent cements and primers are a staple on pool job sites, trusted for pressurized PVC, CPVC, and ABS connections in pool, spa, and irrigation systems. Since 2009 the entire Weld-On line has been low-VOC, including the ECO Series developed for pool and spa applications. With more than 10,000 products, 500+ patents and trademarks, and customers in roughly 90 countries, IPS brings 70+ years of chemistry to every joint you glue — so your pool plumbing stays sealed for the long haul.
