About This Item

Natural Chemistry Pro Series Stain & Scale Control - 1 gal Bottle

PRO SERIES® Stain and Scale Control helps protect pools from the damaging effects of scale buildup and staining due to excessive calcium, iron, copper and other minerals. It works without the use of phosphates or harsh acids. This product also works very well at reducing scale from forming on chlorine generator cells and UV crystal lenses in order to help maintain optimum performance. Pro Series Stain and Scale Control can be used with most sanitizing systems (do not use with biguanides) and is compatible with all pool surfaces.

Directions for Use

This product is designed for use in properly balanced pool water. Do not use with biguanides.

Initial Dose

Add 32 fl oz per 10,000 gallons to the pool water evenly around the edges. If water hardness level is above 400 ppm (parts per million), metal readings are above 0.5 ppm, or if being used during start-up of a new plaster pool, wait 24 hours and add a second initial dose.

Maintenance Dose for Scale Control – MONTHLY

Add 5 fl oz per 10,000 gallons of pool water per month.

Maintenance Dose for Metal Control – WEEKLY

Add 4 fl oz per 10,000 gallons of pool water per week.

Important

Do not add product within 2 days of adjusting calcium hardness or during a full pool acid bath.

For new, remodeled or refinished pools:

Add ½ gallon of product per 10,000 gallons. Add product to the pool water evenly around the edges after the pool is full to reduce the chance of plaster dust formation, scaling, and metal staining. Balance pool water as needed (wait two days before adjusting calcium hardness).
