The slip adaptor kit connects the filter tank ports directly to the return plumbing where no valve is installed between the tank and the pipe. A cracked or degraded adaptor body allows water loss at the tank connection and can introduce air into the return line. Replacing both adaptors together ensures a uniform seal at all tank ports.
