About This Item
The Pentair Bulkhead Adapter Nut (274407Z) is the OEM replacement hardware for Pentair Hi-Flow 2-inch pool and spa valves, originally manufactured under the PacFab brand name.
IMPORTANT: TWO NUTS REQUIRED PER VALVE
This listing is for one (1) bulkhead adapter nut. Pentair specifies 2 nuts per Hi-Flow valve installation. Confirm how many you need before ordering.
The bulkhead adapter nut secures the valve body to the bulkhead fitting, maintaining a sealed, pressure-stable connection between the Hi-Flow valve and the plumbing system. A failed or damaged nut can result in valve movement, seal compromise, or leakage at the bulkhead interface.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
Before removing the old nut, note its orientation and thread engagement depth — Hi-Flow bulkhead nuts must be seated evenly on both sides of the valve to prevent uneven clamping stress on the valve body. If you are replacing one nut due to cracking or thread damage, inspect the mating nut and bulkhead fitting threads at the same time. Replacing both nuts together (as Pentair specifies) ensures uniform clamping load and a long-term leak-free seal.
