About This Item
The Pentair R172033Z is the OEM replacement gasket for the Rainbow Automatic Feeder series, including Models 300, 302, 300-19, and 300-29.
IMPORTANT: 2 GASKETS REQUIRED PER FEEDER
Two (2) of this gasket are required per feeder unit for a complete service. This listing is for one (1) gasket — order two to complete the job.
This gasket seals the bypass clamp connection on the feeder, preventing leaks at the fitting junction. A deteriorated or cracked gasket at this connection allows water or chlorinated solution to escape the seal, resulting in leaks at the clamp assembly. Replacing this gasket restores a watertight seal at the bypass fitting.

Pro Tip
When servicing the bypass clamp assembly, replace both gaskets at the same time — even if only one shows visible wear. Chlorinator components are exposed to concentrated sanitizer solution and gaskets degrade at a similar rate. Replacing both during the same service call avoids a repeat teardown shortly after. Inspect the bypass clamp body and tube fittings for cracking or chemical degradation while the assembly is open.
