IMPORTANT: DATE-SPECIFIC FITMENT — CLEAN & CLEAR PLUS 420
This assembly fits the Clean & Clear Plus 420 sq. ft. filter manufactured after November 1998. Filters produced before that date use a different air bleed configuration. Confirm your filter's manufacture date before ordering.
The air bleed tube assembly vents trapped air from the filter tank during startup and normal operation. A damaged or missing assembly can cause air lock within the filter housing, uneven water distribution across the filter media, and inaccurate pressure gauge readings. Replacing this assembly restores correct venting function and ensures the filter operates at its rated capacity.
