The Pentair Air Bleed Tube Assembly (178583) is the OEM replacement air bleed tube for the Clean & Clear Plus 520 sq. ft. cartridge filter and the Quad D.E. 100 sq. ft. filter.
IMPORTANT: MODEL DATE RESTRICTION
This air bleed tube assembly fits the Clean & Clear Plus 520 sq. ft. filter on units manufactured after November 1998 only. Check your filter's manufacture date before ordering — earlier units require a different assembly.
The air bleed tube assembly allows trapped air to be purged from the filter tank during startup and after servicing, maintaining consistent water flow and preventing pressure imbalances within the filtration system. A failed or missing air bleed assembly can result in air locks that reduce filter performance.
