For the Clean & Clear Filter Systems series, this center core fits units manufactured 2009 and beyond. If your Clean & Clear Filter System was manufactured before 2009, verify the part number against your equipment's parts diagram before ordering. This date restriction applies to the Clean & Clear Filter Systems series only — it does not apply to Clean & Clear RP, Predator, or Posi-Clear RP filters.
The center core is the internal structural assembly that positions and holds the filter cartridges in place inside the tank during filtration. When the core becomes cracked, warped, or damaged, cartridges can shift out of alignment, allowing unfiltered water to bypass the media and return to the pool. Replacing a worn or damaged center core restores proper cartridge seating and ensures full-surface filtration.
